Dear Friends,We invite you all to participate this Saturday, October 31 in a unique event that will unite the literature, capoeira, and samba communities.
All in one place:Livraria Largo das Letras e Federação dos Trabalhadores Cristãos do Rio de Janeiro.
Mauricio Barros de Castro (one of the event organizers) will be autographing his book, Capoeira, a collection of interviews with Mestres past and present, all true references of this Afro-Brazilian tradition.
There will be a roda with Grupo N'Golo (Mestre Jose Carlos) that will include the presence of mestres, contramestres, and many capoeiristas from the Carioca capoeira community who will be at the event. We will close the event in grand style with a Samba de Raiz do "Samba do Chapeu".
It will be worth it!
